MASTER PIECE
An unusual adventure of a reclusive outsider reluctantly given a mission he cannot refuse, delivered in a beautifully crafted narrative that keeps you hooked from the start.
Andy Dane Nye’s writing is a joy to experience. He balances universal issues of everyday life with larger ones of the universe itself in a consistently entertaining way that can also have you ponder your beliefs.
There is depth to this story with an unfolding intelligent puzzle that's gripping all the way through. The characters are well described, easily empathised with, and it’s fun to be in their company. Their motivations, decisions and actions all fit without being cliched, and their conversations frequently had me laughing out loud. The journey and pace are well matched.
Andy gives enough information for you to just about see the horizon at different stages, without making it predictable and formulaic. His creative mind has added some unlikely scenarios that stay with you throughout and beyond the end of this text.As a non-religious regular rail commuter who’s read plenty of fiction, I found this a real breath of fresh air. I couldn’t wait to re-join the story from where I’d had to pause, and am now keen to get my hands on the next one." - Justin Haynes

"I love this book. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started reading but my attention was instantly grabbed by the humour, characters and situation and I enjoyed it right to the end.
The characters are so engaging, particularly the hero Norman who is a loveable geek. The story moves at a good pace, is intriguing and keeps you guessing all the way through about what could possibly happen next. Some of the ideas touched upon are both thought provoking and unexpected.
The main aspect of the book that I enjoyed was the humour. I would challenge anyone to read this book and not laugh out loud!! The situations that arise and the clever play on words that cause confusion and mayhem are fantastic.
I can’t wait to read the second book and find out what happens to Norman next." - Beth Hawkins
MASTER PIECE
"Master Piece is a rip-roaring comedic ride and a definite page turner. Imagine if Tom Sharpe decided to write a Bond movie. The baddies in the form of the vaguely inept wannabe Illuminati business cartel would fit right in. The hero of the story is a reverse Bond; Nerd 007 (Norman) who does with computer programming what James B does with everything else. Either way, the goal is to save the world. And perhaps to get the girl.
But instead of answering to 'M', Atheist Norman answers to God himself. Or his management team at any rate. Nye's humour is reminiscent to Pratchet's, but is firmly set in the current world, primarily London. Which makes the appearance of Archangel Gabriel all the more unexpected. The heroes of the story are the geeks, the dispossessed and the mad. I will never look at a tramp in the same way again. Especially if he quotes Shakespeare.
Do yourself a favour and grab a copy today - it'll make you laugh, that's for sure." - Ms D. Brendel
MASTER PIECE
"I really loved this book and with it, the opportunity to access the themes it contains from the perspective of a novel. There was immense enjoyment to be found while relating to the characters held within the pages - at times I was completely unable to stop myself from laughing out loud. I felt great depth in this work - both in terms of the plot’s gathering momentum and the revelations concerning each character. The way these aspects have been woven together is extremely clever, hilarious at times and deeply satisfying to experience.
There are plenty of insights offered for consideration to humanity. As a species we have a desperate need to wake up and it is so refreshing to come across an author who feels inspired to share the potential to do so." - Claire Gausden
MASTER PIECE
"Master Piece is a great story. The way the plot slowly unfolds allowing more and more pieces to slot into place is very satisfying. The pacing is just right and there is a pleasing sense of escalation as the book reaches its conclusion.
I think it’s the realisation of the characters that make a good story and here they are likeable, easy to bond with but also very different. The interaction between them is often very witty and sometimes plays out like classic sketch comedy.
But beneath the surface humour there is plenty to reflect on. Some of the conversations are wonderfully thought provoking and some were funny enough to make me laugh out loud in the coffee shop (to my subsequent embarrassment).
In summary, Master Piece is a warm, funny story of perfectly crafted set pieces, brilliantly woven together and littered with memorable quotes. I enjoyed it a lot." - Gavin Stowe
MASTER PIECE
"Totally engrossing and clever book.
A well thought out and compelling story This book was equal to those of my favourite writers. It kept me up reading late at night. Great read. Can't wait for the whole trilogy. Please release the other two sequels soon." - Chris White
MASTER PIECE
"The author provides excellent characterisation throughout and you can easily empathise with the central character and his predicament.
Very vivid visually often with python-esque laugh out loud scenes but never distracting from the central story.
The age old Good vs Evil, God vs Devil retold in an exceptionally thought provoking way asking the reader to question their own beliefs and religious feelings.
Clever page numbering immediately makes the reader feel they are on a journey with the author and you can’t wait for the dramatic ending you know will ensue.
I would highly recommend this book and it is well deserving of 5 stars - Please read it and enjoy as I did." - Brenda Dearn
MASTER PIECE
"This book zips along and is very easy to read. The characters are entertaining and often very funny and the plot is original and with some unexpected twists.
The pages count down rather than up so you know you must be heading for an interesting climax and it doesn't disappoint.
It's a sort of cross between Dan Brown and Douglas Adams but very much in a style of its own. I'm really looking forward to the next book!" - M. J. Kempton
MASTER PIECE
"Brilliant, surreal and laugh out loud funny.
As described in the blurb this is Douglas Adams crossed with Terry Pratchett with a bit of Dan Brown action.
Really good, and I rocketed through it in a few days, and I look forward to more from the author if he can keep up this tempo." - Brian E Rogers
MASTER PIECE
"Brilliantly written with subtle humour throughout so that the laugh out loud moments take you completely by surprise. A new angle on an old and thorny theme but so well handled that I found myself agreeing on many levels and hoping that maybe, somewhere out there, is a Shakespeare-quoting tramp. Who knew that a computer nerd could make such a great hero.
Looking forward to the next installment - will be a great excuse to re-read this one, again!" - Mrs Siobhan Chapman
MASTER PIECE
"Absolutely Fantastic - a 'Masterpiece'.
Highly original concept, extremely witty, and I couldn't put it down! I cannot wait for the next installment." - Nina Clarke
MASTER PIECE
"Refreshingly humorous and an intriguing plot from start to finish.
This had me hooked from the start. A hilariously flawed computer nerd is to save us from the apocalypse with the help of the Archangel Gabriel. Sounds like an absurd plot line but it is delivered brilliantly with that subtle British satire that is so lacking in novels today." - Alan Bampton
MASTER PIECE
"A great read. It combines multiple genres from comedy to philosophy, theology to thriller! It’s as much at home subtly looking at the issues of humanity, as it is the issues of the individual. Ultimately I jumped from laugh out loud moments to, “hmmm what if” moments, in equal measures, told through very colourfully imagined characters. Firmly recommend!" - Colin Cester
MASTER PIECE
"This is the best book I've read in ages. He seems to do the Terry Pratchett thing of mixing humour and philosophy in just the right amounts.
Norman's the urban Rincewind for sure. More please." - Ian, Sheffield
MASTER PIECE
"Intelligent, humorous and entertaining.
Thank you for a thoughtful gift of imagination that was a joy from the first paragraph. Easy to be caught up in the differing characters’ motivations and experiences and see to whole come together from the parts.
Would recommend if one would imagine a Discworld made real on present day Earth, with a story that has insight to what being here may all mean. Fun overall." - Sean C
MASTER PIECE
"Wow...what an incredible book this was.
I was hooked immediately to the story and couldn't wait to find out what would happen. Definitely laughed out loud more than once which is rare for me whilst reading. Such fab characters that you really root for and a fascinating plot which gets you thinking aswell as laughing! Cant wait until the next part." - Luke Burton
